Mexico

We went on our first trip since kids have entered our lives the first week of March to Mexico. It was wonderful! We spent 6 days being lazy by the ocean, drinking lots of fruity drinks, and snorkeling. It sure was relaxing! The resort we stayed at was beautiful! The weather was great most of the time we were there. It was warm every day, but it got a little cool at night. It was windy most days, but that didn't keep us out of the water. We spent most of the time just laying on the beach and we would get up every now and again to go snorkel. I wasn't sure if I would be able to snorkel because when I tried to snorkel when we were in Jamaica 7 years ago I freaked out in the water and didn't enjoy it at all. This time it was great and I loved it! We saw tons of colorful fish, a big nasty eel, some jelly fish, lots of turtles, and a nasty Baracuda. There was one person who said he had seen a shark in the reef one of the days and a lady that had seen a squid.
We did go on an excursion one day to Tulum with some Mayan Ruins. We started the day by doing a repel line and then went to the 3 zip lines. I am scared of heights and could have gone my entire life without doing either of these things and I felt like I was going to throw-up and pass out by the time I was done. I am happy that I did it though. It just means that I don't ever have to do it again in my lifetime :) After we did that we went snorkeling in a Cenote (underground river) then we went to the ruins which were amazing! It was beautiful.
We missed the kids like crazy kept saying to each other how much the kids would like this and that. Before we left we asked Gage what he wanted us to bring him and he said that he wanted 5 sea shells and one sea star. The sea shells were everywhere so that was easy to get but it was next to impossible to find a sea star. I remember in Jamaica it seemed like there were sea stars everywhere so I thought that it wouldn't be a problem finding one for Gage. Very wrong we looked all over while we were snorkeling and nothing. We looked in every little shop that we came across and nothing. Finally, at the airport, waiting to fly home we stopped in one of the convenience shops and low and behold there was a sea star. This was so worth all of the adventures, just to see the look on Gage's face when we gave him his sea star from the ocean!
Dylann was happy to get her turtle bracelet and was proud to wear it, but she soon forgot about it and wanted to play with everything Gage got, like usual. She loves to drive Gage nuts by doing everything he does. So it was literally less than a half and hour after we got home that they were fighting like cats and dogs and it felt like we had never left :)

One of the many turtles that we had seen snorkeling.
Eating at the amazing Italian Resturant
Aaron climbing the Mayan Ruin that was on the beach at our resort.
A little bit of Tulum
Proof that I did this!
Aaron had tons of fun on the zip-line
I'm ready to cry.
Aaron being silly.

Here is a little video of Dylann singing her ABC's while she is busy destroying the kitchen. This little girl loves to sing. She can sing Twinkle Little Star, Happy Birthday, ABCs, Thumbkin, Jingle Bells, Lots of songs from Yo Gabba Gabba, Dora, and Diego, You Are My Sunshine, and Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. I'm sure there are more that I can't think of too :)
